Domestic Violence Stamp
WASHINGTON DC, 1997: A proposal for a U.S. postage stamp concerning domestic violence included the pending National Domestic Violence Hotline number. Although the stamp was never produced, the project motivated the Clinton administration to direct the U.S. Postal Service to print 200 million stamp booklets bearing the toll-free number.
2017: According to a National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey, 44% of women in the US will experience sexual violence other than rape over the course of their lives.
